We began our voyage of discovery as self confessed wine novices six years ago & I hope that you will enjoy sharing with us, our journey

go-wine-direct was created in 2005, 3 years after moving to France & the formation of our sister company go-holiday-france. It is entirely dedicated to the wines of the Languedoc–Roussillon region of Southern France. It is a celebration of superb quality & the passionate, independant vignerons.

Nothing prepared us for the quality & range of wines available in the Languedoc where there has been a Renaissance in wine production over the past 15 years. Since living & working here, in the heart of the Minervois wine region, close to the ‘Canal Du Midi’, we rapidly became aware of the superb wines on offer. It has since become an exciting adventure for us discovering excellent new wines at reasonable prices to serve guests at our hotel restaurant, Chateau Du Puits Es Pratx in Ginestas.

For 4 years we have been welcoming guests to our hotel & introducing them to a full range of remarkable wines. We sell wines direct from local producers to guests in France & Europe, where people find it alsmost impossible to find similar quality at a reasonable price. Very few importers sell these quality wines from the Languedoc, mostly because they are produced in quantities too small for the supermarkets to be interested in.

We have made friends with many of the independent vignerons through our constant search for fine wine & are proud to also offer guided Vineyard Tours (by appointment) to a selection of the best producers. In addition our guests can buy wine at vineyard prices. All the fine wines advertised on this site are now available, direct from the vineyards & direct to your door in the UK & Europe, representing unbeatable value & finest quality.
